Blog stop for Talania by Crystal Spears!!

Hello lovelies! Join me in welcoming Crystal Spears to The Lindsay Show! I'll be reviewing her book, Talania, but in the mean time, join me for a spotlight on Talania!

Talania...Buy it Now!

Evelyn Beaumont can't remember anything from the time she was 14 until she was 19. She lost five years of her life because of brain cancer. Now she is a 20 years old survivor and enrolled in college, determined to reclaim her life. There she meets Tristan Monroe, but it isn't the first time they’ve met. In fact, Tristan and Evelyn were once in love. It was a love so strong that it shattered him when, after the three years they had spent together, she never came back to Laguna.

Evelyn wants nothing more than to have her memories back. With the help of Tristan and his brother Drake, they take Evelyn on an emotional journey filled with videos, photos, and memorabilia...a walk down memory lane.

While they stroll down memory lane, Evelyn must learn to deal with Tristan's rock star fame and the ever-present groupies. She struggles to find herself and to learn to love again.

Is their love strong enough to overcome the memory loss? Is it strong enough to survive whatever comes their way? Will all the proof Tristan shares with her be enough to show her how deeply they loved each other? Will love find Evelyn once again?

Talania - A trip down memory lane

Excerpt

Past:
“Hi, I’m Evelyn.” She sticks her beautiful tanned hand out to shake mine. I am dumbfounded, at a loss for words. I mean, I just hit this girl in the head with a volleyball and she is being polite.
“Um, sorry about the volleyball. I’m Tristan.” I shake her hand in return and the air around us crackles and pops. I pull my hand back quickly. What the hell was that?
“Well, Tristan, next time try not hitting a girl in the head with the volleyball when you’re ogling her.” My mouth drops open. I am busted.
“I…I…I’m sorry.” I mean, what the fuck else is there to say?
“It’s all right.” She laughs and it is such a beautiful laugh.
“So how old are you Tristan? You look like you’re around seventeen.” She cocks her head to stare back at me.
“I’m…I’m fifteen,” I stammer out. What in the hell is wrong with me?
“Well, you look older. I’m fourteen. It was nice meeting you Tristan.” She points to a beach house. “That’s where I’m staying if you ever want to visit.” With that, she walks away, her beautiful long chocolate brown hair waving in the wind.

Present:
I glance down, pulling her hand to me. The air crackles and pops at the first touch of her skin against mine. It’s as if I can breathe again. Four years of air rush into my lungs at once, overwhelming me. I look closely at the symbol on the bracelet. I can’t breathe. This cannot be what I think it is. Tears are stinging my fucking eyes. This cannot be happening.
“This…this is a cancer survivor bracelet,” I whisper.
I look up into Ev's beautiful chestnut eyes and she nods, releasing my grip and lifting her hair as she tilts her head. Three long scars hide underneath her hair.
“Brain cancer. I had a tumor, and it came back three times. I can’t remember the years from when I was fourteen up until nineteen,” she whispers, letting her hair fall back down.
Drake and I gasp at the same time. This whole time I thought she left me, left us, and she was fucking dying of cancer. I cannot breathe. Someone needs to get me some fucking air. I eye the tequila, hesitating before I start downing it straight from the bottle. After I am satisfied, I let the bottle slip from my lips.

Blog Tour for Molly Weatherfield

Hello my lovelies and welcome to the blog tour for Molly Weatherfield! Today we are spotlighting her erotic S/M novel, Carrie's Story! Read on for more info and a great excerpt :)

Carrie's Story...Buy it Now!

Carrie's Story is regarded as one of the finest erotic novels ever written- smart, devastatingly sexy and, at times, shocking, Molly Weatherfield has penned a book that is standing the test of time alongside The Story of O and Justine. in this new era of "BDSM romance," a la 50 Shades of Grey the whips and cuffs are out of the closet and "chateau porn" has given way to mommy porn. Carrie's Story remains at the head of the class, literally.

Imagine the Story of O starring a Berkeley PhD in comparative literature, who moonlights as a bike messenger, with a penchant for irony, self-analysis and as well as anal pleasures. Set in both San Francisco and the more chateau-friendly, Napa Valley, Weatherfield's deliciously decadent novel takes you on a sexually explicit journey into a netherworld of slave auctions, training regimes, enticing "ponies," (people) preening for dressage competitions. Desire runs rampant in this story of uncompromising mastery and irrevocable submission.

Excerpt from Carrie's Story

“Hear me out,” he said. He seemed so unflustered that I
found myself stopping and turning to him again. “Look,” he
said again, patiently, “we were watching an outrageously tacky
and stupid porn film in there and you could have mopped the
floor with those jeans.” His matter-of-fact gaze rested on my
hips a heartbeat longer than it needed to, I thought.

“So,” he continued, “I don’t think you’re nearly as
shocked and scandalized as you’d like to think you are. After
all, it’s not as though you haven’t thought about these things
before. And at some length, I bet. In fact, my guess is that
you’ve been jerking off to S/M porn since you found a copy of
Story of O when you were a twelve-year-old baby-sitter. But I
don’t think you’ve ever done more than read and jerk off.
Which is a shame. Because I think you’d be good at the real
thing. I’m good at the real thing.”

Thirteen and a half. Almost fourteen. I mean that’s how
old I actually had been when I found that copy of Story of O.
Of course, that’s typical of Jonathan’s almost pathological
politeness—one of the little things I learned from him is that it
never hurts to give the other guy credit for a little more charm
or precocity than he or she actually possesses. So probably he
knew he was flattering me a little, in a perverse way, but he
obviously also knew that, in all the ways that counted, he was
dead-on right. S/M porn was one of my secrets. I didn’t
understand why I liked it, but I knew it was important to me.
It seemed to occupy a space in my head next door to the more
typical romantic passions—little-girl crushes on actors and
rock stars and even some English teachers, the silly sweeping
pleasure I always get reading Jane Eyre. And—Jonathan had
made it so embarrassing—the romantic feelings I’d been
having talking to him before the conversation had taken this
disquieting turn. I felt very frightened and exposed.

But I had to say something. Enough about me, let’s talk
about you. “you got good at it hanging with Sir Jack and
Mistress Anastasia?”

“I hang with a much better class of pervert. Well, they’re
richer, anyway, and they’re a lot prettier. But you’re right, in a way.
I do respect those silly-looking guys from the movie. It
takes passion to act out your fantasy when you’re going to
look so graceless. I’m good at spotting passion—sincerity,
maybe. I spotted you.”

He reached into his pocket, found a piece of scrap paper,
and scribbled his name and address on it—in predictably tiny,
superlegible writing. “For a good time,” he said, “come by,
tomorrow at three.” And then he wandered back into the
party.

Check out CSI: Creative Scene Investigations by Genevieve Scholl!

My dear lovelies, there's a great blog that you should be sure to check out from my fantabulous friend and fellow author, Genevieve Scholl! Now as you lovelies know, I know a number of authors and have scene a number of blogs. I have to admit that Genevieve's blog has the best name of them all :D She calls it CSI: Creative Scene Investigations. I mean seriously, can you get much more creative?! Let's find out more about her and a special thank you to Eve for letting me steal this info :)

When asked to describe her blog, she says: “The tagline says it all “Creative mind under the microscope.” I blog about anything creative; photographer, writing, movies, TV Shows, Art (new venture that hasn’t started yet), etc. After I became a published writer, it occurred to me that people don’t really know the person behind the writing and I wanted to “dissect” those people that work so hard on the things that we enjoy and get to the root of who they are: Their DNA so to speak.”

In describing herself, she says: ”I am an author, photographer, editor, cover designer, beta-reader, reviewer (books, movies, and restaurants), avid reader of almost all genres, studying paralegal, Slowly becoming multilingual, and looooooooooove food! I love to experiment, create, paint, travel, etc. I love nature (except for bugs). I live in New York State (not the big city, but still), want to travel all over the world, wish to retire in Ireland, was born in Texas. I collect snowglobes, stuffed animals, and celebrity memorabilia. I have an obsession with the Titanic and anything have to do with it (can’t wait until Titanic 2 is finished being built), Abraham Lincoln, and Amelia Earhart. My favorite stand-alone movie is Under the Tuscan Sun, while my favorite series of movies would be Back to the Future. I have a large crush on Michael J. Fox, Nathan Fillion, Matthew Perry, Chaske Spencer, William Peterson, Tom Sellek, Colin Morgan, Kasey Kahne, Brad Paisley, and Kenny Chesney. My female celebrity crush would be Angie Harmon. I have a little niece, 14 months old, named Emily and I am so very proud of her that I may sometimes just gush and gush about her. I have one older brother, and now a sister-in-law. My family and friends are the most important things to me and I would kill or be killed for them. I am addicted to cream soda, fresh baked bread, asparagus, and bagels. Coffee starts my mornings and hot chocolate usually ends them.”

She recently posted a review on the TV Show Once Upon A Time. I love love love that show! I also liked her review and agreed on what she didn’t like about it.
(Psst: That was Eve saying this–I’ve never seen the show.)
Oh…..and how awesome is it that she shares part of the proceeds from her books to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research ? That is such a blessing. It touches my heart to know that.

Go to her blog and see for yourself! Just in case you missed the link, you can find her blog here: http://csicreativesceneinvestigation.wordpress.com/. Go check it out for yourself!

Spotlight on Progeny Series + GIVEAWAY!!

Hello lovelies! Time for a Spotlight! Everyone, say hi to Ashlynne Layne and get ready to learn more about her Progeny Series!

Today, I’m offering a free e-copy of The Progeny and Blood Bonds to one commenter. This series is erotic in nature and contains graphic language, strong sexual content and adult themes.

Please leave your email address to enter to contest!

About the Progeny Series

At its core, The Progeny Series is simply about a man and woman who fall in love, and the fact that he’s a half-blood (half-human, half vampire) and she’s a Wiccan human are secondary factors. When we meet Ascher, he’s grumpy. Frankly, who could blame him? He’s engaged to seal to Ursula—a cold and careless vampire who wants nothing more than to get her hands on a bloodstone— and he feels conflicted about his existence.

All of that changes when he meets Shawnette McCutchin. She’s beautiful, intriguing and possesses some of the most potent blood that he’s ever smelled. A war immediately begins inside Ascher. He craves Shauna’s blood just as much as he craves her body and the closer they get, the harder it is for him to control his urges. After Ascher calls off the sealing to Ursula, the trouble begins. His family’s peaceful period ends when Ursula’s army attacks the Rousseaus.

This series encompasses a family dynamic of which we’ve never seen. The Rousseaus share a common mortal and immortal bloodline, but loyalty is the thread binding this clan. Shauna and Ascher’s dissuaded love only strengthens the family bonds. Their unique union transcends bloodlines and completes the prophecy, defying the beliefs of centuries old covenants while shattering the wall between the Wiccan and vampire worlds that has existed for ages. This series is erotic paranormal romance intended for adults, as it contains adult sensuality, language and themes.

The Progeny (The Progeny Series #1)

“No fate other than the one I choose.”

The timeless creed, and tattoo, bore by the Rousseaus— a vampire clan with the purest bloodline of any vampire family. Out of this clandestine group came one who was different, yet the same: Ascher-a half-bloodling— half- human, half vampire.

Ascher questions the purpose for his existence and which world he truly belongs to: the human world or the vampire world. Two months from sealing to Ursula— a prearranged union to a woman he abhors — he’s at his wit’s end. He knows if he calls off the sealing, the Romanian clan will strike with deadly force, but he cannot see eternity with a cold empty shell of a woman like Ursula.

Just when he thought life was complicated enough, he meets Shauna— a beautiful, bi-racial human Wiccan — and immediately develops an unshakable attraction to her. She makes him feel alive and vital despite his origins and Ascher makes a decision that turns his immortal world upside down.

Blood Bonds (The Progeny Series #2)

“Forever. For always. For eternity.”
The ties that bind two hearts are powerful. For Ascher Rousseau and Shauna McCutchin, it’s more than just a blood bond. Their union is that of vampire legend. Their love is a predestined prophecy foretold centuries ago.

It’s a week before Ascher and Shauna's sealing and the couple is making final preparations for their eternity, but Ascher's ex has other plans. Ursula is hell-bent on revenge—revenge fueled by lover's scorn and her father's death—and she begins breeding a fresh army of newborn darklings to do her bidding.

When Ursula finds a new weapon—an ally with the capability to dismantle the Rousseau clan— Ascher and Shauna's bond is tested and they must stand together against Ursula or lose each other for eternity.

Blood Promise (The Progeny Series #3)

“Their love is fated by an ancient prophecy. Now the promise is fulfilled.”
Ascher Rousseau is a half-human, half vampire whose life has been a series of prophecies and predictions. After finding incredible love and passion with Shauna—a Wiccan with powers beyond anything he’s ever known—he seals to her and hopes for happiness. But his enemies seek to destroy all that he loves, and he finds that happiness never lasts for long.

Darkness is descending and a vampiric revolution is nearing. A new brood of hatchlings is born to join their darkling brothers, in preparation for war. A preordained chain of events is set into motion that could lead to the rise of the demonic “cloaked one” and his half-human fallen children, while ending humanity—as we know it.

Can a supernatural love and the loyal bond of a family save the Rousseaus and the world from certain extinction?

Excerpt

His vision saturated with a deeper shade of red, the beastly fiend struggling to break free of his remaining restraint. A thousand thoughts and sensations swept his primitive brain. Hurling her beneath him, he weighted her with his heated body, imprisoning her wrists above her head.

Shauna’s breaths came in excited, hurried gasps. “Take me, Ascher.” She should have been afraid; instead, her face displayed a curious look of satisfaction. Her nails ripped across his back, taunting the fiend inside.

Flipping her onto her stomach and scoring her back with his claws, his lips covered the back of Shauna’s neck with frenzied kisses. He wanted to fuck her. Hard. Reaching back, her hands caressed the tight muscles in his thighs, muscles straining with a virile type vigor that now concentrated in his pulsing cock. He was too close to the edge.

“I want you, Ascher. I want you to take me, right here, right now.”

He couldn’t think straight. The smallest part of him knew this was wrong, but the fire in his veins yearned for gratification. Blood muddied his vision as lust swelled in his shaft, disorienting him. Pulling her against him, Ascher engulfed Shauna into a tight hold. Her head fell back as their mouths merged, lips devouring with sinful and lustful kisses and tongues exploring the warm moist depths of one another’s mouths.

A vicious snarl sounded in his throat, as he squeezed the tempting flesh of her round rump. Wedging his arm between her legs and opening them, he guided his shaft to her slick folds. “Baby, you’re so damned wet.” He ran his clawed digits anxiously along the taut skin of her tummy, squeezing and teasing the nipples of her perky globes.

His mind clouded and vibrated with pain as he spiraled out of control. The mirror above the headboard gave Ascher a disturbing glimpse of his reflection, revealing a beastly deviant preparing to take his wife from behind—a position he knew she couldn’t handle, a position he loathed and promised himself he’d never use again. A million shards of shame pierced his heavy heart. This was wrong on so many levels.

To his surprise, Shauna’s eyes flashed with silver fire as her wild locks cascaded into her face, obscuring his view of her reflection. He needed to see her eyes again, to see if she was afraid. The bloodlust in his head wiped away his common sense and ability to channel her.

Shauna rocked her hips back against him, stroking his erection with her hand. “Don’t stop! Come on, Ascher. Fuck me!”

He reached to her neck, turning it to give her another passionate kiss, as the crown of his shaft rubbed against her hot flesh. “Damn it,” he groaned then whimpered, because it felt good, and he really wanted to take her. “No.” Love for her fought against the urge to fuck her until she collapsed, even though the blood-craving demon inside him wanted it.

“Come on, baby. Take me. I want you to.”

Gripping a handful of her hair, he pulled her back and against him. Her hips shifted, a soft sigh escaping her mouth as his swollen cockhead slipped inside her and sparks coursed his spine. “Oh, god.”

“Oh, yes!”

He palmed her rump, intending to thrust himself into her, but a rush of clarity flooded his mind. He couldn’t do it. “No, sweetheart—”

“You won’t hurt me. I really want this.” Her hips rocked back again. “I really want to experience you this way.”

“No!” He released her, letting her body slip out of his reverse bear hold and onto the bed. Backing away, his eyes fell downcast to avoid her stare. How could he look at her when he was so ashamed? Frantically running his hands through his shoulder length locks, Ascher balled them into tight fists at his sides. In the span of three heartbeats, he dressed and jumped over the terrace rails, soaring down to the beach below.

Meet Ashlynne!

Ashlynne Laynne has always had a soft spot in her heart for vampires but grew tired of the garlic fearing, sun-loathing creatures of old. An avid horror movie fan, she tends to enjoy media and music that is of a younger, more eclectic nature. This was the catalyst for her writing The Progeny. The vampire/witch pairing is unique and different when most books pair vampires with werewolves.

Ashlynne loves writing on the edge—combining the erotica and romance genres—and thinks of Ascher and Shauna as the wicked, damned version of Romeo and Juliet. She is currently working on book four of her Progeny Series, book one of her upcoming Rocker Series, and an untitled novella WIP. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She juggles the hats of wife, mother, full time employee and part-time writer, hoping to write exclusively one day soon. Find and follow here online on Twitter. Check out her Manic Readers page, Blog and Website, or leave her a note in her Reader Email.

Ashlynne lives in North Carolina with her husband and teenage son.
