So why do I love autumn? I love the changing colors of the turning leaves. I adore the sound of the leaves crunching under my shoes, and I tend to pout if I step on a leaf and it doesn't crunch lol. Fall also holds a special place in my heart for being the season when I officially became an author <3
Today's feature book is Dying to Forget, by Trish Marie Dawson. Want to know what's so awesome about this particular young adult novel, besides the fantabulous author?!? If you guessed that Trish will be releasing the next book in the Station Series soon, you'd be right!!
Dying to Forget...Buy it Now!
“Excuse me, Niles…I mean, Mr. Abbott. But, where are we?”
“I’ll explain everything to you dear, just as soon as we reach the Station.”
“What station? We aren’t in the hospital? Where’s my Dad?”
“No Piper, this isn’t the hospital, and your father is at home…he’s fine. Please, follow me.”
He turns away and continues on through the light. I hang my head, staring at my bare feet as we walk. Even though my cuts are gone, I keep rubbing my arm. It’s soothing. I almost bump into Niles when he stops abruptly.
“We’re here,” he says softly.

Piper Willow dies the summer after her high school graduation but she doesn’t make it to Heaven or Hell…instead she finds herself in a spiritual terminal called the Station. She’s given only two choices: Return to Earth as the subconscious for a person in need of some outside assistance, or move on and spend an eternity lost in her own sorrow and pain.
Does Piper have what it takes to save a life - to be the nagging voice inside someone else’s head - or will she fail and end up lost and tormented in limbo...forever?
I asked Trish what she loved most about autumn and here's what she had to say:
"I could spend all day talking about why Autumn is my favorite time of year, but that might get boring for you. ;) I live in Southern California, and San Diego is warm pretty much most of the year. This means I don't get the beautiful fall color changes that many other parts of the world might. It's the trees that do me in. See, I have a thing for trees. I'm pretty sure I was a bird or a squirrel in a previous life, as trees have been like my second home. I grew up climbing them, lounging with a book on a limb, or hanging upside down to see how long my legs could hold me before my blood filled my head. We have plenty of trees in San Diego, but not too many that CHANGE color in the fall. Which is beyond gorgeous to me. I love the smell of fall, the earthy scent that reminds us that the season is changing. As the leaves fall off the trees, they sink into the moist soil, creating an aroma that freshens up an entire forest. This is probably why hiking in the fall is one of my most loved past-times. So Autumn is all about the trees for me…if there are branches, I will climb it. If there are multi-colored leaves on those branches, even better."
Well lovelies, I hope you enjoyed learning a bit about what myself and my fellow author friends love about autumn! Stay tuned for more exciting posts!!

I love the cooler weather. In the summer it gets to be 117F here, so by Autumn I'm ready for a nice cold breeze.
