Hello lovelies and welcome back to The Lindsay Show! Today I'd like to introduce you to the fantabulous Milly Taiden!! Now Milly and I have only recently met, but she is just amazeballs. Seriously. I mean she can mostly keep up with my insanity, so that right there is a major plus in my books. Plus she's having me review all of her books (as I find time of course) and since she writes erotic paranormal romance, what's not to love?? Well today I have a special treat for you to thank her for having me do reviews...A GIVEAWAY!!!!!

And it gets even better than that! I know right, how could it get better? Well last night I may have let her talk me into reading her just released Fate's Wish (blame her for my NaNo count not hitting my goal!) so instead of just an interview today, you lovelies get a review!! Fate's Wish is out now, and you must go get it. After the interview and review of course.

Before we get started, maybe I should tell you your prizes :) Note: All books will be gifted by me to the recipient. You MUST leave your email in a comment in the post to be eligible to win. Be sure to enter the rafflecopter below to win:

Interview

Welcome Milly!! I'm so happy to have you! Let's dive right in, shall we? When did you know you wanted to be a writer?

I have always loved writing. So I guess the answer is always LOL. I’ve never seen myself not writing. Even as a little girl, my mom used to buy me journals to write in. I wrote poetry and short stories and fun little made up worlds.

I love making up my own little worlds! So much fun :) What has been the most difficult part about being a writer?

Trying to promote, write, edit and have a life. I think we are so focused on getting published and then when it happens, you realize you need to do a lot of stuff to get your book to sell. Writing is the fun part. LOL

Oh man, don't I know it! I'm still learning about promoting myself, but I seem to have a knack for thinking up some creative ways, so maybe I can help you out. Who are your favorite authors?

That’s hard. I read. A LOT. But some of my all time faves  are: Mina Carter, Cynthia Eden, Thomas Harris, James Patterson among others.

*Sigh* People you really need to stop giving me new names to look up and add to my list! :D I kid, is there a better problem to have than a never ending TBR list?? What authors inspire you?

My bestest friend Mina Carter. She has a billion things going on every day and she makes time to write. Every time I speak with her I am inspired to hit the keys. It’s an automatic uplifter.

You mean someone else has as many things going on as I do? I must meet this woman! Now, I always like to ask...do you like to plan your scenes out or do you just wing it?

Sometimes both. I start out with an idea and then go with the flow. I sometimes end up with a scene that looks nothing like what I thought or end up with exactly what I visualized.

Interesting. I'm finding more and more people have a very similar mindset. I personally stopped trying to plan lol. Whenever I plan something, I rarely stick to it! What type of books do you like to read?

Erotic Romance (haha no surprise there). But I’m a big horror and suspense fan too. James Patterson rocks!

*Gasp* You like to read erotic romance?? For shame! I kid :) What do you like to do in your free time?

Read. Isn’t it just like a writer to say that? We all love reading don’t we? LOL. But yes I love to read, and shop. A LOT. There is a lot of shoes my hubby doesn’t know about. LMAO. I also like to try new places to eat. I love food so it’s no hardship.

Shoes! Ok we shall have to talk shoes sometime. I think we're destined to become besties! Moving on before I totally derail the interview to talk shopping, where is your favorite place to vacation?

Well I’m from the Dominican Republic and love going there, but I just LOVE Disney. Yep. Disney World. I feel like such a kid when I’m there and enjoy every second of our days with the awesome characters.

*Awed silence* Milly, I love you. Seriously. Yup, destined to be besties. Disney World is my FAVORITE place of all time. *Whimper* Only the knowledge that I'm sure people want to hear more about your amazing books keeps me from sidetracking this interview to focus on Disney and shopping. Do you have any special Thanksgiving traditions?

Eating. LOL. Well we eat every day but we like spending time with family and just hanging out. I’m very close to my sister so we always hang together anyway.

You know what would be awesome? Eating in Disney World. Sorry. Not really :) Hehehe moving on...why did you choose to write erotic romance and paranormal romance?

I didn’t choose it. It kind of chose me.  I’ve always loved paranormal and romance. As an adult, writing romances turned into putting some heat into them. I like making my sex scenes sizzle. And I like wolves. Ok, I LOVE wolves. And other paranormal creatures. So I write them and love every single minute of it.

After reading Fate's Wish, I'm very glad the genre picked you. It was damn good! What has been the most fun about working on your books?

Getting to know my characters. They are usually strong in their own way but have some kind of insecurity about them. My favorites are the fun quirky characters who use sarcasm and silly quips. I laugh while writing.

Your characters are so rich, I feel like I know them. Love how quirky they are, especially the sarcasm because that's how I hear my own characters. How do you come up with the premise for your books?

LOL. I have no idea. Things just pop into my head. It may be from another book I worked one. One I read that I something about it opened up an idea. It could be a scene from a movie or even a real life event someone is going through. Ideas come from all places and at all times.

Well wherever your ideas come from, we most make sure your inspiration continues because I think I could become addicted to your books. What has been the hardest scene for you to write?

Sometimes it could be a sex scene. Sometimes it could be the climax and sometimes the revelation of feelings. But it’s NEVER the beginning LOL. That comes easily.

I'm a dork...I giggled at "climax". I blame you, you've got my mind in the gutter :) My first sex scene was hard for me to write, but yours are so hot I can't see how you'd have any problems! Do you have any favorite characters from your books?

I think I’m in love with every single male lead I write. LOL. The female heroines are great. But Sophia, Sharp Change,  will always hold a special place in my heart.

Can I just say, I love Zahir? If you write all of your leads similarly, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be falling for them all. Hubby might get jealous, but we won't mention it to him ;) Give us a little insight into your latest book, Fate’s Wish.

Fate’s Wish is a romance gone wrong. This is a couple that had a relationship that just fell apart and are forced together by events in her life.

Yes, they certainly have gone wrong for poor Shar and Zahir. At least you give them their happily ever after. I was planning on kidnapping Zahir myself if you didn't. Tell me more about the world in which Fate’s Wish is set.

It’s a paranormal world. Zahir is a demon who is born of human parents with the extra stuff that makes him very very dangerous. Demons for me aren’t always evil looking minions. They can like Zahir, a man who has power, dark power that can destroy things and needs to control it.

There’s also witches like Shar. She was born of witches and the magic runs in her blood from many generations of energy callers. So it’s hard for her to understand why her magic is waning.

There’s good and evil in Fate’s Wish world. Just like in any other and I wanted to show that no matter how much darkness a person has inside, we can always overcome it with light.

Love the world and when I read it, I really felt like I was living that world. How did you choose the title, Fate’s Wish?

The book gave it to me. As I was writing it kept saying “This is something they can’t fight. They can be away from each other for years and fate will always bring them back together. They belong together. Whether they like it or not. No matter how much they fight it. They can’t fight Fate’s Wish.” So I said, “Ok book. I get the picture. That will be the title.” LOL

LOL That's awesome. After reading it, I must say there's really no better title for it! Is this part of a series? If so, can you tell us more about any other books already released or that you have planned?

Hmmm So far this is a single. But I may add others in this world later on.

*Whimper* No more Zahir and Shar?? You and I will have words on this later LOL. We are just about out of time and I must get to your review, but spill it...what's next for you?

LOL. I just finished a story for a Christmas anthology with, surprise surprise, wolves. LOL. From my Contemporary Romance name, April Angel, Stranded Temptation should release in January.

Squeeeeeeee!! And you call me busy :) Can't wait to get my grubby hands on that! Well, is there anything else you want your readers to know?

YES! I write as Milly Taiden and April Angel. Paranormal for one and Contemporary for the other. Please be sure to check both out when looking me up. You can see all my current books on sale at my website: http://millytaiden.com

Review of Fate's Wish

About the book:
Publisher: Etopia Press
Price: $2.99
Description:

The man she loves left her, but he’s the only one that can protect her.
Sharmila is a witch with a problem. Her magic is waning. And her lack of sex may have something to do with it. Her mother’s solution? Easy. Sharmila needs to get laid. Easier said than done, though, because Shar is still in love with the only man to make her melt, Zahir Darkwrath. Her missing husband. Her demon.
Zahir knows he’s a danger to Shar, so he’s done his best to stay far away. Darkness flows through his being, and when emotions run wild, destruction rages around him. And sex with Shar is definitely wild. Staying away from the woman he loves is the hardest thing he’s ever done, but hurting her would be far worse. So he’s astounded when Shar’s mother hires his company to watch over her.
Evil is heading Shar’s way, and Zahir is the only one who can stop it. To save her, Zahir will need more than control; he’ll need the power of his own darkness--which might be his undoing.

Note: I was given a copy of this book for the purposes of review.

What I liked:

First of all, LOVE the cover. I mean look at it...so sexy. Oh, sorry I may have drooled a bit there :) You people must read this book. It starts off with a bang *snicker* Ok bad pun but still. This book has it all...hot, steamy sex, magic, sexy hero who wants to protect his woman...really can't get much better than that, can it? Funny you should ask, why yes it can! There's a fantastic story too! You see, this book isn't just about sex (though did I mention it was hot and steamy??).

I love Milly's characters and from page one, I fell into the story and felt like I was right there with her characters. This book left me dying for a series so I could get more of the characters, and I will have words with Milly to make sure she considers this :) Need me more Zahir! From an editorial note, the book is very well polished and edited. And the sex...hot. Oh, I think I mentioned that, but hey you can never say it too much right?

What I didn't like:

You guys are going to think I'm paid off or something. I can't think of anything I didn't like, except perhaps I wanted this to be longer. Because I'm greedy. And may have the hots for Zahir. We won't get into that now though :) In all honesty, I keep getting books I love and there isn't anything I can fault in this book. Except...more Zahir please!

Overall Verdict: 5 Blue Duckies!! (Miranda, if you're reading this...can you make me flaming blue duckies cause this deserves flaming blue duckies!)
